The Brief
To assess, advise, install and commission solar panels and protection to a commercial business.
The Activity:
We were delighted to be invited to support another local business to TL HQ, Stuart Hall and Co. Certified Chartered Accountants in Bishop Auckland, with designing and installing a solar power panel solution to the commercial building roof.
Following our initial assessment, it was proposed that 32 x AIKO 460w solar panels could be fitted across various faces of the roof, each using the Renusol mounting system and a SolarEdge S440 optimiser to enhance the efficiency and safety of the system. In addition, 1 x SolarEdge SE 10000H Home Wave Inverterand SolarEdge Modbus meter for ease of visibility of usage patterns and performance. To protect the system, DC surge protection was also fitted to the three strings feeding the roof panels.
To protect the installation, Enviroguard Bird Protection mesh was also fitted around the perimeter panels to protect them from birds and small animal nesting and sheltering which can damage the panels and wiring system.

The Result:
Despite battling some pretty horrendous weather conditions, the installation of the panel system was completed on time and will now aid in the business reducing its energy bills and usage from the Grid, as well as protecting the electrical energy power supply continuity.
