Electric Vehicle Charging Stations for Engineered Foam Products, Spennymoor

The Client

Engineered Foam Products, Spennymoor

The Brief

To design and recommend electrical requirements, equipment and provide commissioning for 4 electrical vehicle charge points.

The Activity:

Previously known as DS Smith, Engineered Foam Products, based in Spennymoor, called on our long term working partnership for electrical design, installation and commissioning of four electrical vehicle charging points to be used by staff and visitors to the site.

We were initially required to design the electrical supply to ensure that the 4 chargers could be accommodated on the current supply, as well as considering the specialist mounting needed for the vehicle charging units due to the make-up of the building being of brick & cladding.

The Result:

Delivering within the timescales required and on budget, we installed & commissioned 4 x 22kW 400v 3 Phase electrical vehicle charging points, as supplied by the City Electrical Factors, Bishop Auckland Branch, with thanks to Mike Jones the branch manager for our ongoing supplier partnership.

Alongside the charging points, RFID cards were also supplied which are required to activate the units, providing additional security of access.
