The Brief
To source appropriate specification of parts, assemble and wire 4 bespoke designer table lamps to be exported to the US & EU.
The Activity:
Having worked with Rupert before, we knew that when he asked us to help assemble & wire some table lamps he had fabricated. It wasn’t going to be just an ordinary job.
The 4 lamps in question, had been drawn by a renowned London designer. And then produced by Rupert for export to the USA and Europe.
Due to the nature of the design and style of the lamps, the requirements for the wiring and assemble were very specific. This created some challenges for the team in securing the parts required.
With the help of Lamp Spares and S. Lilley and Son, we sourced exactly what was needed in terms of the specified lamp holder, brass collars and brown woven cable.
We assembled all the parts, connected the lamps, terminated the cable. And, of course, tested each one to ensure they met Rupert’s expectations.
The Result:
Completed on time & in full, despite the sourcing challenges. These fully working bespoke designer table lamps are now in situ with the clients in the US and Europe. What an impressive feature they are!
We are delighted that there is more demand for these lamps and that we already have another 6 lamps planned in for the same treatment, which will then be distributed across the EU and the UK by Rupert McBain Studio.
