Emergency Hot Water Callout in Richmond

The Client

Archers Ice Cream Parlour, The Station, Richmond

The Brief

To resolve an emergency call advising a lack of hot water.

The Activity:

Our customers always know that we will be on hand in times of emergency, and this was exactly the case when the staff at Archers Ice Cream Parlour, situated in The Station Cafe and Cinema in Richmond, North Yorkshire, discovered they had no hot water to wash up their equipment.

A short time after the call came in, our team were out on site working to identify the fault with the hot water heater in situ, and later returned with a mechanical contractor, thanks to our working partner T. Manners and Sons Ltd., to install a new water heater in place of the old.

Challenged with sourcing the new parts urgently and sourcing a plumber at short notice, the team also worked around the parlour staff to ensure the job was completed quickly, thoroughly, and with as little disruption as possible.

Due to the new water heater being of a larger capacity, and more suited to its daily requirements than its predecessor, pipework and the electrical power supply required altering to accommodate it accordingly.

The Result:

Not only did the finished job provide peace of mind to the staff and owners of the business in terms of hot water supply, vital given the popularity of the ice cream parlour, but also ensured an electrical hot water installation that was compliant and more appropriate for the demands placed on it on a daily basis.
