The Client
Stephenson Gobin, Bishop Auckland
The Brief
To make alterations to the current power supply to accommodate relocation of production machinery.
The Activity:
We champion our clients discovering new ways to become drive greater efficiency in their processes, and were delighted to be asked to support altering the power supply for machinery being relocated within the Stephenson Gobin production plant at Bishop Auckland.
The initial part of the job involved disconnecting 3 of the current production machines, and reconnecting 2 machines that had been relocated from another part of the production site.
With materials supplied by City Electrical Factors, the team installed a new 63A Three Phase cable feed utilising 10mm SWA armoured cabling, a 63A isolator, and the necessary fixings, to establish a refreshed electrical power feed to the newly installed machinery.
The team worked around production patterns and staff presence to ensure minimal level of disruption while the works were carried out, and finished the job on time and to budget.

The Result:
With production efficiencies being vital to any industrial business, the relocation and recommissioning of these specific machines has enabled Stephenson Gobin to make changes within the production process thereby enhancing production output, utilising resources more effectively and minimising waste.
