Lighting Replacement at West Rainton Primary School

The Brief

To replace the majority of the lighting at West Rainton Primary School with LED solutions and install emergency lighting.

The Activity:

Having already worked with West Rainton Primary School, we were asked to return to replace the majority of the lighting with LED solutions, following part of the lighting having previously been completed, and installing emergency lighting where required.

So as to avoid any disruption during the school working hours, our team went in during half term & holiday times.

The school building itself has heritage, and also contains some asbestos within the walls so it was imperative that the team avoided any exposure or disruption whilst the replacement lighting works were carried out.

The design and supply of the lighting was carried out by Park Electrical, utilising Ovia Lighting for the best results in this instance.

The Result:

The newly installed LED lighting levels have created a much more pleasant studying and working environment for the staff and students within the school, as well as ensuring compliance for the school.

In addition it has created an estimated electrical consumption saving of around 50%, resulting in reduced electricity bills as well as lower maintenance costs in comparison to the previous electrical lighting installation.
