June 2023 Newsletter

It’s been another couple of busy months since our last newsletter.

We’ve celebrated a 35 year anniversary of working with Tomlinson Longstafffor Foz, one of our engineers, our fabulous team of women on International Women’s Day and passing our first MCS Assessment with flying colours since we were awarded certification!

Solar Panel, battery and electric car charging installation enquiries continue to grow as people and businesses look for more sustainable and financially rewarding electrical energy solutions.
We’ve highlighted below a few we’ve completed recently that you might be interested in.

We love a challenge

The team love a challenge and pride themselves on adapting and creating solutions for all types of buildings and substrates.

This job gave them food for thought in terms of the roof tiling, a delicate rosemary clay tile, perfect for the distinctive character of the property, but with an exceptionally steep gradient as well.

It was well worth the grey matter effort though, as it’s estimated to deliver a whopping 75% reduction in annual electricity bills!

A First for the UK?

We recently installed the new Home Hub Inverter from SolarEdge Technologies, which may be the first of its kind in the UK.

SolarEdge is a leading developer in solar and renewable technology solutions, and we are delighted to be able to source and install their top-of-the-range solar power systems.

Did you know…

… we hold the approved Environmental Agency licence for carrying waste on our vehicles, which means we ensure hazardous waste (such as fluorescent tubes or batteries) is disposed of correctly & can demonstrate the appropriate paper trail.

We’re proactively working towards creating sustainability, minimising impact on our customers & the planet.

Safety & Security are paramount…

… whether that’s on the job for our team or protecting our equipment.

We’re delighted to work with Masternaut for our van tracking system, which means not only are we safeguarding our tools, but we’re safeguarding our team as well.

Hints & Tips

Calling all Maintenance Engineers…

Landlords have particular obligations that must be undertaken to ensure the electrical safety of their properties.

The quality and safety of rental properties have very much been in the news recently highlighting that it is the Landlord’s responsibility to ensure all properties under their remit are safe and habitable.

There are various legal requirements regarding electrical safety. If you are unsure what these are, the charity Electrical Safety First can offer you advice, vital as failure to meet those obligations as a Landlord could result in court action.

If you have any electrical remedial questions or works that are required, contact us either by phone at 01388 833836 or visit our website.

Service Spotlight – Thermal Imaging

Trouble Shooting without any Interference

Trying to predict faults or temperature fluctuations in machinery and other electrical installations can be nigh on impossible, but can save your business both time and money.

By using hand-held troubleshooting infra-red and visible light Thermal Imagers, we are able to identify temperature fluctuations in machinery, equipment and other electrical installations which can be an early detecter of faults, potentially having larger implications if left undetected.

And the best thing… we don’t even have to turn the equipment off!

It’s a perfect ‘no disruption’ maintenance service available to your site today.
