Domestic client – the Ferguson Household, Darlington
The Brief
To install solar panels to a standard tiled domestic roof, complimenting the system with a storage battery and bird protection mesh.
The Activity:
Following a referral via the MCS website, the Tomlinson Longstaff team were asked to design and project manage a solar power solution for this domestic dwelling. Given the standard roof set up, the job itself was straight forward apart from a short supply delay in securing the inverter.
The team installed 9 x Trina Solar 425W Vertex-S mono black panels (supplied by CCL Components), 1 x GivEnergy 3.6kW Generation 2 Inverter and 1 x GivEnergy 9.5kWh Battery (both supplied by Segen).
All installation materials were supplied by our long term supplier City Electrical Factors, and our thanks also to the team at BS Scaffolding.
The Result:
This full solar power solution will allow the property to capture solar energy and store it for its own use as opposed to any excess going back to the Grid, reducing the electrical power demand on the Grid thereby saving money.
In addition, the mesh bird protection prevents birds from landing or nesting on or around the panels, avoiding damage to the panels or mounting system.
