Shop Re-Fit & Complete Electrical Rewire in Ashington

The Client

The Brief

To remove all current electrical services (including lighting, power, fire alarm and door access), supply and install new electrical power services to meet regulatory compliance and offer energy use efficiencies.

The Activity:

Working alongside long term collaborative partners, T. Manners & Sons (Michael Lomax), Tomlinson Longstaff were invited to tender for a full electrical power supply overhaul for a recent shop refit, in light of new tenants due to take over the premises.

Once the team had removed all the old cabling, lighting, and alarm system, they set about rewiring new cables to bring the power supply up to the required regulatory standards.

With the new electrical power cabling installed, energy efficient led lighting (supplied by Edmunson Electrical – Gordon Hunter) and power sockets were fitted to the sales floor, sale office and canteen.

In addition, a new fire alarm system was supplied and commissioned, thanks to Brian Frampton at Complete Detection Systems.

The Result:

The upgrade to the electrical power supply and installation of the new electrical materials has created a modern and clean working environment for the new tenants, both compliant and safe. In addition, it provides the opportunity for energy savings with the energy efficient led lighting, as well as reduced maintenance requirements associated with it.
