Where did the summer go?

It certainly appeared to go in a flash, and the team out of the office definitely seemed to get the best weather being up in Scotland for most of the summer months working on a big industrial renewable energy job. More to come on that later.

Meanwhile, over the past couple of months we also attended CEF and the ELEX Show in Harrogate, Stephen became an appointed installer for Alpha ESS, a new solar power storage brand, and the team were trained on a new smart cable seal system from Roxtec.

No wonder it feels like it’s flown by!

Rainton Lighting

We recently completed a lighting assessment for West Rainton Primary School, which resulted in the majority of the lighting being replaced with LED solutions, as well as some extra Emergency Lighting being installed.

Not only did this enhance the working environment for both students and staff, but also ensured peace of mind for health and safety compliance and an estimated 50% savings on electricity usage, bills and maintenance costs.

Powering Farms in the North East

Every solar technology installation is different.
This job in Wolsingham was to fix 12 solar panels to a metal sheeted farm building roof to help power the farm, as well as the residential property attached.

You can read more about the various solar technology installations we’ve worked on so far on our website, where you’ll see residential jobs on various roof types, commercial installations and more farm buildings.

Supporting Our Local Community

We love where we are based, in beautiful County Durham, and supporting our local community is always on our agenda.

We were delighted to support West Auckland in Bloom this year with a donation to help keep our community surroundings looking spit spot!

Big thanks to Jean Pattison and her team for all their efforts.

Supplier Shoutout!

We can’t speak highly enough about SolarEdge, partly due to their fabulous customer service, but also the reliability of their solar power solutions.

There’s a reason why they’re considered one of the market leaders.

Top that with their continued innovation and development… can we give them 11 out of 10?

Hints & Tips

Emergency Lighting

Emergency Lighting is a critical safety feature in any building with a public area or where people are employed, and there are clear regulations under BS 5266.

One of these is to ensure that all emergency lighting is installed and maintained by a qualified professional and is tested every year with an official record kept of the testing and maintenance regime.
