And there we have it; summer is already starting to draw to a close, and what a summer it has been.
If you’ve got electrical solar power systems, you will have been jumping for joy at the hot weather that we’ve had! We are still getting so many enquiries for new installations and are proud to support the Northeast in progressing our collective move towards self-generated electricity.
Also over the past couple of months, we’ve celebrated Peter being a member of the team for the last 30 years (there was definitely cake!), as well as attaining his first aid and safety harness training for another year. We also renewed our sponsorship of West Auckland Town FC. (howay lads!), and secured another year’s certification from MCS (see below), which is no mean feat; just ask the team next time you see them.
We are MCS approved… again
We were absolutely delighted to have our ‘Approved Contractor certification with MCS confirmed for another year.
It’s not an easy process to go through, but for us it’s a really important one that’s worthwhile, as it demonstrates to our customers and our industry that we take high standards very seriously and want to ensure we are delivering the best possible service with the best possible products that are available to the Northeast.

Plug-in Solar – could it really be a ‘thing’?
There’s been quite a bit of noise around plug-in solar and the UK Government’s ambitions to expand accessibility to solar tech in the media recently.

Future Proofing Education
Helping schools generate their own renewable energy is a project we’re always proud to be part of.
We recently worked alongside the facilities team at Barnard Castle School, delivering the first phase of their solar PV journey.
Like many educational sites, the school has significant energy demands, so by investing in solar power they’ve taken an important step towards reducing both energy costs and their reliance on the National Grid.
It is estimated the system will save around 3.8 tonnes of CO2 annually, the equivalent of planting 175 trees a year.
