New Power and Lighting at St. Godric’s Primary

The Client

St. Godric’s R C VA Primary School, Durham

The Brief

To install new power and lighting to classroom alterations.

The Activity:

Working alongside our long-term building partners, T. Manners & Sons Ltd., the team were tasked with working on a number of classroom refurbishments for St. Godric’s RC VA Primary School, based in Durham.

One classroom, previously an IT classroom, required the interiors being stripped out and reworked into a standard daily use classroom, involving new wiring for electrical power sockets and two new sections of electrical dado trunking with appropriate data points installing.

The original lighting was also removed for a new ceiling to be installed, with replacement lighting being fitted following the building installation.

The reception and nursery classrooms were also undergoing alterations, requiring newly installed electrical wiring for power sockets, dado trunking and data points.

Again, lighting was required to be removed and new lighting solutions installed once the replacement ceiling was in place.

There is further extension work planned for the school some of which has already started, and we’re looking forward to offering our support on these works.

The Result:

An under-utilised classroom has been made available for daily use by the school, as well as refreshed and up to date nursery and reception classrooms, ensuring more efficient power supply as well as health and safety compliance.
