The Brief
To upgrade and consolidate distribution boards for safety & aesthetics for this B&B in Penrith.
The Activity:
Our client contacted head office requesting the removal and replacement of a number of existing fuse boards that had been added to the commercial property over the years, so as to ensure safety compliance, as well as in anticipation of future alterations.
Immediate challenges presented themselves in terms of identifying which electrical circuits were for which installations, uncovering a number of faults and subsequent rectifications, as well as working in a smaller dark cellar space.
Working with preferred suppliers, City Electrical Factors and Schneider Electric for the distribution equipment, our team redesigned the system and wiring layouts for a cleaner distribution board presentation, consolidating space previously taken up by a number of distribution boards and heightening safety with the addition of RCBOs for additional protection to the wiring and equipment.
The Result:
The result of the works presented a clean and clearly laid out single distribution board for the Temple Sowerby Bed & Breakfast. Allowing for easily identified circuits for testing and checking, and bringing the system up to date in terms of safety, eradicating the likelihood of future faults within the system.
