The Brief

To design and install a commercial audio and visual system at a community centre.

The Activity:

We were invited to visit and assess Coundon and Leeholme Community Centre for the installation of a projector, screen and speaker system to allow additional services to be offered by the centre to their immediate and surrounding communities, as a result of the Trustees having secured funding for the provision.

Once we had assessed what was required, we contacted ‘Just Projector’ who went above and beyond to help us with the correct specification for the size of room and usage requirements of the equipment.

Working to a timescale, the team installed a 122” diagonal Sapphire Electric Projector Screen above the stage area, a Viewsonic HD Projector, and 2 x ConXeasy SWA401 speakers to either side of the screen.

Unfortunately, the first screen to be delivered was damaged and so the completion of the project was slightly delayed due to awaiting a replacement.

The team completed the job with a demo for the client and instructions on how the system could be used.

The Result:

The new audio and visual system allows the community centre to broaden its service offer to include activities such as exercise classes and film nights, as well as extending facilities for meetings held at the venue, thereby increasing the revenue opportunities for the centre itself and diversifying the offer for the surrounding community.
