St. Teresa’s Catholic Primary School, Darlington
The Brief
To replace and upgrade external lighting facilities to the school and nursery perimeter.
The Activity:
As an extension to the electrical upgrade works carried out for the school and nursery, perimeter lighting was also proposed to enhance the site security and visibility for safeguarding visitors, staff and attendees on site.
Having assessed the existing lighting and the revised needs of the school, the team replaced 17 x exiting lights with new Ansell Awolf fitting and installed an additional 6 x lights with Ansell Awolf fittings to match.
The upgraded lights were connected to the existing key switches for ease, with the newly installed lighting units operating via photocells.
In an extension to the works, we were also asked to install 4 x Robus 50w floodlights with PIR sensors, to deliver an additional layer of security and care.
The Result:
Security and provision of safeguarding care is paramount and ingrained within the primary school’s culture, resulting in these extra lighting solutions ensuring delivery on their promise to attendees, visitors, compliance and regulatory bodies, with energy efficiency as an added bonus with the use of leading edge electrical lighting technology.
