The Brief

Electrical socket installation and to fit new electrical power supply circuits.

The Activity:

As a result of our ongoing relationship with Borough Road Nursery School in Darlington, we were asked to boost the electrical power supply to the nursery by installing extra power sockets and circuits at various places throughout the nursery.

Using supplies from Electric Centre Darlington, City Electrical Factors in Bishop Auckland and Edmunson Electrical Durham, the team installed 9 additional indoor electrical power sockets and 1 external, also replacing a cracked socket plate at the request of the client.

The team fitted 1 x 2.5mm ring final circuit to feed 7 of the sockets, and 1 x 2.5mm radial circuit for 2 other power sockets situated near a projector screen.

All installed cabling was suspended in ceilings where possible, or surface mounted within pvc trunking and conduit for safety and aesthetic purposes.

So as to minimise disruption for the pupils, staff and parents/carers, works were completed during half term to ensure the school was ready for reopening on time as required.

The Result:

The nursery school now has additional electrical power supply inside and out. With electrical socket installation reducing the use of extension leads and adhering to health and safety compliance.
