The Brief
To install electrical sockets, circuits and lighting for a shop refit.
The Activity:
They say that word of mouth referral is worth its weight in gold, and they’re not wrong.
Having been referred to Teesdale Toys, we were invited to a shop refit on the busy high street in the market town of Barnard Castle, as a result of having recently been taken over by new owners.
Working alongside third party tradespeople prior to the half term break to ensure the shop could open in time for the holiday, we installed 2 x 2.5mm twin and earth cable circuits supplying 12 x electrical sockets to the shop floor.
In addition, a 1.5mm twin and earth cable lighting circuit was fitted, concealed behind walls where possible but otherwise contained in surface mounted trunking, for 9 spotlights, installed to highlight areas of the shop and create a welcoming ambience. All circuits were protected by 30mA RCD.
All electrical materials including cables, back boxes and trunking were supplied by Edmunson Electrical, Durham.

The Result:
Despite the tight deadline and parking restrictions close to site, the team delivered the project requirements to allow the shop to open as planned and showcase the newly purchased stock in time for the busy half term period.
