Commercial client – Solar Power Solution Installation in Toft Hill
The Brief
To install solar panels, a storage battery, bird protection and hot water diverter to a storage building roof.
The Activity:
With a view to reducing Grid electrical power reliance and bills, Mr. Donohue spoke to our team about a solar technology solution as result of working alongside us as a building contractor on a local major renovation job.
After a site visit, our solar technology team designed and sourced 40 x Trina 415w SolarEdge full black solar panels, 1 x SolarEdge 10kWh batteries, 1 x SolarEdge 10kw inverter, 1 x Eddi hot water diverter and a netting bird protection system, all sourced via CCL Components.
This was the second recent job that required specialist fitting of the panels to a trapezoidal roof covering using the Van Der Valk mounting system (supplied by Waxman), a unique mounting system specific to the roof covering material and shape allowing installation avoiding putting the panels under tension.
Additional electrical components were supplied by CEF with scaffolding supplied by BS Scaffolding.
The Result:
Completed on time & within budget, we’re looking forward to assessing the reduction in electrical power usage from the Grid & the impact this has on the client’s utility bills.
