The Brief
To design & rewire lighting in the hall to meet compliance and create financial savings.
The Activity:
A previous EICR inspection uncovered a number of failures in the wiring of the high-level lighting in the hall. This required addressing from a compliance aspect as well as offering an opportunity to install a more energy efficient solution. Which in turn will allow financial savings on the building’s electrical costs.
The rewire included the glitter ball, spotlights and wall lights, as well as the low bay lights and lighting panels. Both being replaced with LED solutions for lower maintenance and extensive energy savings.
Due to ongoing events being hosted by the Civic Theatre, our works were required to be paused and cleared at various points. This was to give the impression of no works being carried out and allow the continuity of the hall events.
Our long terms supplier partners Park Electrical supplied all the materials, distribution board, cabling and lighting for the job, which included 11 x 600×600 LED Collingwood Solis 40W lights and 4 x Collingwood Lentus 100W low bay light fittings.
Our thanks to Halt Hire for providing the tower scaffolding required for the job.

The Result:
The redesign and rewire were vital so as to ensure compliance for the hall against the EICR report that had previously been carried out.
In addition, the new energy saving solutions installed have ensured lower maintenance requirements, and therefore costs, and less energy usage overall, providing financial savings for the hall going forward as well as improved lighting output.
