The Brief
To install a solar storage battery to optimise solar panels already fitted.
The Activity:
Following being recommended by one of our customer’s contacts, we were asked to relocate the existing solar panel control system from the loft to the garage, install a replacement inverter (GivEnergy 3.68kW hybrid inverter) to optimise the solar power capture and add two solar power storage batteries (1 x 9.2kWh battery & 1 x 5.2kWh battery) to retain the solar power generated.
All solar solutions were supplied by Segen.
The Result:
With the addition of the two solar power storage batteries, our customer is now able to retain the electrical energy generated rather than sending it back to the grid, creating a self-sustaining electrical power supply and create financial savings due drawing less down from the grid itself.
The result of these works has been ongoing discussion with regards to future additional panels being added to the property roof to maximise the energy generating opportunity.
