Turp residence in Toft Hill
The Brief
To install an electric vehicle charging point with power from fuse board addition.
The Activity:
Having successfully found Tomlinson Longstaff on a Google Search, Mr. Turp invited us to design, supply and install an electric vehicle charging point for their first electric car.
The team assessed the site options, and they installed a new circuit from the existing fuse board located in the garage. Fitting the required cable, they then clipped and then drilled through the wall to the charging unit.
Having ordered the required charger and cables from Edmunson Electrical Durham (charger) and Doncaster Cables (EV Ultra 6mm 3 core cabling), we installed 1 x 7.5kW Hypervolt Home 3 Pro electrical vehicle charging point with 7.5m lead and CT clamp.
The Result:
The new electrical car charging point will aid in the owner reducing their domestic carbon footprint and provide convenience for charging their new electric vehicle at home, where they can take advantage of lower overnight rates depending on their electrical energy supplier. The addition of the CT clamp will aid in monitoring the system’s electrical power usage.
