Heating System Upgrade at Ferryhill Scout Hall

The Client

Ferryhill Scout Hall, Co. Durham

The Brief

To replace the heating system for efficiency and effectiveness.

The Activity:

As a result of our excellent working relationship with an already established customer, we were invited to the Ferryhill Scouts HQ to assess, design and install a new heating system.

The existing heating system was powered by gas, aged and required expensive maintenance. With that in mind, as well as increasing utility costs and the space requiring to be heated regularly but not consistently, we proposed 4 x Tansun A1K2 45IP 4.5kW infrared heaters each with an Energy Saving Receiver and 1 remote control linked to all 4 units.

A new distribution boards was required with 4mm 3 core SWA surface mounted cable to the heater locations, and the team supplied and fitted an Apollo Wire Guard to each of the 4 heaters to ensure safeguarding for those using the hall as well as protection for the heater longevity.

All equipment and accessories were supplied by Edmundson Electrical Durham, with tower scaffolding supplied by Halt Hire, Stockton and assembled/relocated by our own PASMA qualified electricians.

The Result:

The heating system upgrade now offers users a modern heating option with reduced running costs, speed and higher efficiency in heating.
