INEOS Compounds, Newton Aycliffe
The Brief
To install electric battery charging points for a forklift fleet.
The Activity:
Due to an upgrade in the forklift fleet established at the INEOS Compounds site in Newton Aycliffe, 6 x 32A 230V chargers were required to be installed at 4 varying locations across the site.
Due to the operating commitments of the site and the busy schedule of the Tomlinson Longstaff team, the works were carried out during evenings and weekends to ensure completion as per the schedule required by the client.
4mm SWA 3 core cabling was fed from the existing distribution board, terminating into 32A 230V wall mounted isolators.
All materials were supplied by Edmunsons Electrical, Durham, one of our preferred suppliers.
The Result:
Not only can INEOS be proud to have advanced in their contribution to reduced emissions due to the upgrade of the forklift fleet to electric vehicles, but also costs are likely to be reduced due to lower fuel consumption and increased efficiency on site.
